RELX SDG Customer Awards 2022
Recognising our customers' exceptional work to achieve the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals
Launched in 2020, the RELX SDG Customer Awards aim to recognise customers who share our commitment to driving action in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The 2022 awards were presented at RELX SDG Inspiration Day by RELX Chief Financial Officer, Nick Luff and Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary, Henry Udow.

Costa del mar
Costa Del Mar is an American manufacturer of polarised sunglasses that puts environmental stewardship at the heart of their business. Nominated by Reed Exhibitions for efforts across several SDGs; SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, SDG11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG 14: Life Below Water.
Costa del Mar's Untangle Our Oceans campaign demonstrates what the Vision industry can do for the world. Untangle Our Oceans involves diving into oceans and waterways to search for fish nets and other waste. This waste is then recycled to manufacture their line of eye wear frames. This scheme is innovative and transformative with few companies using this practice across the globe - reducing microplastic waste in our oceans, protecting biodiversity and championing circular economy principles.
"At Costa we’ve always prided ourselves on our efforts toward conservation and dedication to maintain the places we love, especially out on the water. We couldn’t be prouder to receive an award like this and to recognise the efforts of our wider team to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals."
