Research4Life has been providing free and low-cost access to scientific research in the developing world for 20 years. Read this insightful story about the history of Research4Life, and its new strategy for the future with the aim to help researchers in the developing world fully participate in the global research community. The aim of the March Kennesaw State University College of Computing and Software Engineering Hackathon event, was to demonstrate to students how big data analytics may be used for social good to solve problems in society that make a real difference in people's lives. HPCC Systems provided students with the opportunity to learn more about The ADAM Program and take a look at missing children trends.

Supports Goals 4 and 10. A unique partnership between the Next Einstein Forum (NEF) and Elsevier will see the creation of a new pan-African, peer reviewed, open access publishing journal, dedicated to boosting the global reach and impact of research by Africans.

This book presents the country development diagnostics post-2015 framework, developed by the World Bank Group to assess the country-level implications of the post-2015 global agenda, as well as brief, ‘at-a-glance’ applications of the framework to ten countries: Ethiopia, Jamaica, the Kyrgyz Republic, Liberia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, the Philippines, Senegal, and Uganda.

Recognising the need to support STEM education, as part of its overall commitment to SDG4, the Elsevier Foundation has partnered with the New York Academy of Sciences' (NYAS)to expand its after-school mentoring in STEM programme. Inspiring more than 1,300 Middle School students each year, the After School Program trains graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to mentor 8 -14 year olds. Now with funding from the Elsevier Foundation, the prohgramme will be expanded to reach underserved children.
