Women present at an older age with their first myocardial infarction compared with men. Anatomic assessment obtained by cardiac computed tomography provided more accurate prognostic information than stress testing in women. Angina with no obstructive coronary artery disease appears more frequently in young women with fewer traditional cardiovascular risk factors than men and older women.
