It is estimated that 15 percent of the world population is living with a disability. The benefits of physical activity and sport participation are no less important in this group, and access and inclusion should be treated as human rights issue. It is important for providers caring for athletes with physical disabilities to understand the unique musculoskeletal and medical conditions that may affect this population.
