Breastfeeding is the optimal way of feeding infants. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends exclusive breastfeeding from birth to the age of six months. Then, it recommends continuing breastfeeding while extending the baby’s diet with other products at least for two years. Breastfeeding, despite being a natural activity for humans, often causes many problems. One of them is fungal infection of the breast, caused by Candida albicans. Pain and other symptoms accompanying this disease are the cause of severe discomfort, pose a threat to health and may also contribute to premature weaning.
