Immunology Clinics of North America: Pregnancy and Allergy–Improving Asthma Outcomes During Pregnancy in Underserved Communities

There is a paucity of data examining strategies to improve asthma control specifically among pregnant women from vulnerable populations. Barriers to adequate asthma care in this underserved group of women may necessarily be extrapolated from data from other vulnerable populations with asthma. Interventions may be addressed on both individual and population levels through targeted interventions, multidisciplinary health care outreach, and policy advocacy.
