Neurological disorders are considered as the leading cause of disability and the second leading cause of death worldwide. Types of neurological disorders are various; Stroke and Alzheimer's disease are the deadliest types. In the past years, the absolute numbers of deaths and disabilities because of neurological diseases have risen substantially, especially in low-income and middle-income countries. The growth in the number of people affected by neurological disorders suggests the need for a management approach for these diseases. Despite a large number of ongoing and growing research projects on neurological diseases, many of them are still incurable and can be managed only in the form of palliative care or improvement of the complications of the disease. Developing drug resistance, common side effects, and tolerability issues in neurological patients obviously influence their life quality and life expectancy; these facts showed the need for an efficient and safe treatment for managing neurological patients. In this chapter, the current therapies for neurological disorders and their limitations are summarized.
