World Poetry Day 2027: Celebrating Poetic Expression and Linguistic Diversity

World Poetry Day is observed every year on March 21, celebrating the enduring power of poetry as a universal form of human expression. Declared by UNESCO in 1999, this day promotes reading, writing, publishing, and teaching poetry while honoring its ability to inspire creativity, preserve endangered languages, and foster dialogue among cultures.

The 11th annual HPCC Systems Community Summit will kick off the week of October 7 with an exciting line up of speakers, sessions and engaging workshops. This year’s theme is Igniting Innovation and is free to attend for academia, industry and technologists. The purpose of the Summit is to gather engineers, data scientists and technology professionals to share knowledge and future roadmap plans for the open source HPCC Systems platform.

We’re passionate about helping students learn more about STEM, and through our academic program we give students the opportunity to collaborate on STEM-related projects involving innovative technologies like data analytics, robotics and AI. Since 2011, we have partnered with a number of universities to sponsor research projects, internships, robotics teams, scholarships, and other educational programs that provide students with access to hands-on learning and real-world engineering experience.

In 2023 the HPCC Systems Community Impact scholarship was announced as a part of an effort to support the Diversity & Inclusion focus areas at LexisNexis Risk Solutions. The HPCC Systems Community Impact Scholarship was launched in partnership with Scholarship America to provide two renewable $5,000 scholarships to female high school graduates from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds who plan to pursue a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) undergraduate degree at an eligible college.

UGAHacks is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that has been hosting an annual 48-hour hackathon for almost a decade now. This was the 2nd time HPCC Systems sponsored a challenge and participated in the hackathon held at the University of Georgia.
