The study found that osteoarthritis is the seventh leading cause of years lived with disability worldwide among people older than 70 years. Years lived with disability attributable to osteoarthritis are likely to continue to rise, posing a large challenge to health systems, and necessitating increased focus on preventive and treatment measures.
