This scoping review of 30 years of research on young children's eating practices in early childhood education and care (ECEC) highlights three areas of focus: how repeated exposure and modeling impact children's food intake, often focused on increasing fruit/vegetable consumption; teachers' nutritional knowledge, strategies for managing eating, and perceptions of mealtimes; teachers' feeding behaviors, children's participation and sociality, and additional learning (e.g. language) during mealtimes.
