Superhydrophobic coatings are sought for outdoor components that must repel water while enduring abrasion, icing, and corrosive media; however, the role of substrate temperature and laser fluence during laser texturing in balancing these properties is insufficiently mapped. The key challenge is to raise wear robustness without sacrificing anti-icing performance or triggering crack formation and corrosion.

The growing global demand for freshwater has intensified research into energy-efficient desalination technologies. Among various desalination methods, distillation-based technologies can utilize renewable solar sources and low-grade waste heat but are typically energy intensive. In recent years, solar thermal interfacial evaporation has emerged as a promising approach to enhance energy efficiency in seawater distillation by delivering heat directly to the liquid-vapor interface and bypassing the bulk fluid.

The combination of climate change, growing population, and development of urbanization has exacerbated the existing water resources crisis. There is no natural resource that is more precious than water, and all aspects of human livelihoods have their foundation connected to water resources. However, many regions of the globe are experiencing critical conditions linked to extreme hydrological events, particularly floods and droughts. This study aims at exploring socio environmental benefits of floodwater utilization in a changing climate world.

This study examines factors influencing preprimary teacher turnover in peri-urban Ghana, finding that 22% of teachers left their positions within a school year. Psychological well-being, including depression, anxiety, and job satisfaction, was the strongest predictor of turnover and mediated the impact of personal stressors. The findings emphasize the importance of holistic support addressing both personal and professional needs to improve teacher retention and education quality.
