Menstrual equity refers to the access to safe environments in which to menstruate, including bathroom facilities and clean water, as well as access to menstrual products that allow for the ability to go to school, work, and engage in life with dignity. Menstruation is a physiologic process, not a reflection of maturity or self-worth.

This chapter supports SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) by exploring innovative approaches to enhance solar energy harvesting using plasmonic nanoparticles, thereby improving the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of solar energy systems. It also contributes to SDG 13 (Climate Action) by promoting sustainable energy technologies that help reduce reliance on fossil fuels and mitigate climate change.

This chapter explores the role of epigenetics in neurodevelopmental disabilities, highlighting how environmental factors influence gene expression and contribute to these conditions. It aligns with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting understanding of mechanisms that can lead to improved treatments and health outcomes, and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by advocating equitable access to emerging epigenetic-based therapies and early interventions for affected individuals.
