Combustion of fossil fuels is one of the main sources of emissions of greenhouse gases such as CO2, CO, and NOx. In order to decrease the emissions of these harmful gases and alleviate their unfavorable consequences, it is crucial to shift toward clean and renewable energy technologies. Aside from the environmental importance, there are other reasons, such as fluctuations in the price of fossil fuels, restrictions in their resources, and the importance of energy diversification for shifting toward alternative and clean energy systems. In this chapter, some of the most conventional and developed renewable energy systems are introduced. Afterwards, the importance of shifting toward renewable energy sources and the development of clean energy technologies is discussed. Following that, the obstacles and challenges related to the development of renewable energy systems are provided. According to the provided data and designed plans by international organizations, it can be concluded that renewable energy systems would have a significant contribution in the future; however, there are some challenges, such as requirement for investment, lack of proper infrastructure, and absence of clear and effective policies in some countries and regions that can act as obstacles to the development of these clean systems.

This study examined the effectiveness of video modeling combined with small group instruction to teach leisure skills using waste materials to three individuals with multiple disabilities.
Textbooks can play a formative role in shaping young students' perceptions of societal norms, including gender roles, as they serve as a primary source of knowledge and cultural values. Existing literature on Pakistani textbooks has focused mainly on middle and secondary levels, leaving the elementary context underexplored, specifically after curriculum reforms in 2020. We addressed that gap by applying Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis to recently reformed English language textbooks for grades 1–5, published by the Sindh Textbook Board, Pakistan.

This chapter supports SDGs 7, 11, and 13, by providing an overview of floating photovoltaics as a major segment within photovoltaics, reviewing the current situation and future potential of floating PV as a key area of solar energy.

Based on interviews with Israeli mothers during COVID, this article asks: What practices do mothers use to mark and erase their children's disabilities? What practices are marked as good mothering? How do these processes of marking and erasing negotiate classed ideals of normativity for children and mothers? The findings indicated that low-income mothers mark disability to acquire professional support for children's disabilities, claiming this as their ‘proper’ mothering role, whereas middle-class mothers erase disability through intensive mothering, marking it as theirs.
This study uses a phenomenological approach to examine how outdoor education shapes prospective teachers’ learning and teaching processes. Findings indicate that it enhances experiential learning, social and emotional skills, and motivation to use outdoor methods, supporting its integration into teacher education programmes.
